焦距换算倍率(Focal length ratio)

现在的数码单反相机(Digital Single Len Reflex,DSLR),多是利用厂商原有的 35mm 单反相机的镜头。由于这些单反数码相机CCD的影像面积小于胶片的影像面积,所以当同一镜头安装于数码相机后,就会因为视角变小而变成更长的焦距镜头。因此,相机生产商便通过「焦距换算倍率」,让用家可了解当原有镜头安装在数码相机之后的实际视角与等效焦距。焦距换算倍率,可以根据CCD面积与胶片面积来进行计算。例如,当CCD的成像面积是8.4mm x 5.6mm时,其边长仅相当于36mm x 24mm胶片的 1/4。因此,50mm 焦距的镜头,当安装在数码相机上就会变为200mm 的长焦镜头。
胶片边长/CCD边长 = 焦距换算倍率
镜头原焦距 x 焦距换算倍率 = 镜头于数码相机上的等效焦距

例子:
Canon EOS 1D的换算倍率为1.3,17-35mm的镜头的等效焦距将会变为22.1-45.5mm。市场上的机种,焦距换算比率大多介乎1.5与2之间,而且更愈来愈接近1。

Canon Rebel XT (350D), CMOD(like CCD) size is 23*16mm, is 1/1.6 ofstandard film. So 18-55mm (physical) ==> 29-88mm (standard).

Camera DSC-S600 physical lens 5.1-15.3mm ==> standard 31-93mm

50mm = view like human's eyes.
38-24mm = view of 60-84 degree (wide-angle lens)
20-13mm = 94-118 (very wide-angle, close to fish-eye)
